Matthew S. Blanchard (Matt) is an attorney and former commercial real estate executive with more than ten years of experience in real estate investment.

About

Matthew’s experience includes handling all aspects of leasing, selling, acquiring, and financing retail, multi-family, industrial, and office properties.

Matt also guides clients through complex joint venture structures, preferred equity structures, and partnership tax matters, which include 1031 exchanges and opportunity funds.

Matt’s responsibilities include advising individual investors, investment companies and funds with complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, tax-deferred exchanges, financing, leasing and development.

He also advises management and owners on corporate, limited liability company, and partnership matters, including formation, maintenance, financing, business succession, mergers & acquisitions, dissolution, shareholder agreements, reorganizations, and disputes between owners.

Finally, Matt advises and represents individuals with estate planning matters including complex revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, charitable trusts, private foundations, family limited partnerships, powers of attorney, wills, and health care directives.

Matt is a San Diego native. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, and fishing.
