A few years ago, Blanchard, Krasner & French established an endowment used for granting scholarships to law students at the University of San Diego School of Law. Attorneys from Blanchard, Krasner & French have made and continue to make contributions to the endowment to allow for larger scholarships to students. The endowment is intended to be perpetual by distributing a percentage of the fund each year to students through scholarships. The amount distributed generally equals the amount of the earnings on the funds held in the endowment. As additional contributions are made to the endowment, the student scholarships grow! Whittemore defeated a writ petition in a published opinion issued by the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, on February 7, 2019, while representing clients Overland Direct, Inc. and CTPC, LLC (“Overland”). A case led by San Diego attorneys, Kipp Williams and Michael Weitz of Blanchard, Krasner & French, was recently awarded a Top 50 Jury Verdict distinction. Mr. Williams and Mr. Weitz are being recognized for successfully guiding their client’s breach of contract case, Flannery v. MSi Lighting Inc., to a conclusion of approximately $272,500 awarded in damages to the plaintiff. Before Annie focused on helping families with their legal needs, she was a member of the Penn softball team and led the Quakers to Penn Softball’s first Ivy League South Division title.
