JDRF to Honor Mark A. Krasner, co-founder of Blanchard, Krasner & French at 2020 Vision Gala

On Saturday, April 25, 2020, JDRF Northern Nevada, a nonprofit that supports research and advocacy for the advancement of type 1 diabetes (T1D), will recognize Mark A. Krasner, co-founder of Blanchard, Krasner & French, APC, as its honoree during the 2020 Vision Gala at the Downtown Reno Ballroom.

Krasner served as the Honorary Event Chair in 2019, where the firm made significant and meaningful contributions to the event. In 2019, the Vision Gala raised more than $500,000, which was dedicated to the nonprofit’s efforts of funding research it hopes will cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes. In 2020, Krasner hopes to help the organization raise nearly $600,000 at the event.

“My team and I are humbled by this honor as it’s consistent with our desire to give back to the communities we serve,” said Krasner. “I see the future for type 1 diabetes clearly and want to use my role as honoree to close the financial gap – to stop dreaming about a cure and actually make one happen before the end of the next decade.”

More than 500 guests are expected to attend the 2020 Vision Gala, titled “Stop Dreaming. Clearly See the Cure.” The event will include a cocktail reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 7:30 p.m. The evening includes silent and live auctions, live entertainment, and JDRF’s signature Fund-A-Cure program, during which contributions may be made directly to research. Shelby Sheehan, Reno’s News 4 evening anchor will serve as master of ceremonies.
