Blanchard, Krasner & French Team Members Recognized for Exemplary Work

Civil Litigation - A better brand of business law

The team members at Blanchard, Krasner & French spend their time immersed in a variety of pursuits: staying current with legal precedent, diligently pursuing optimal client outcomes and spending time in the community when possible.

This year, several of our team members have been recognized for their commendable efforts.

Steve Silva was named Of Counsel this year and has been honored as one of 40 finalists for the Reno/Tahoe Young Professionals Network Top 20 Under 40 class of 2019. In addition to his presence in the community, Steve is a consistent voice in the legal community; authoring chapters in practice guides, articles in legal publications, and pieces for Nevada Lawyer. He is one of few pro tem judges under the age of 40.  Steve’s reoccurring role as faculty member continues at the upcoming Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation 2020 conference, held in Nashville, TN. Steve’s practice focuses on eminent domain, real estate litigation, land use matters and appellate practice.

Ann Kinsey Schu has been recognized by San Diego Magazine’s as a Rising Star in the special edition on “Celebrating Women.” The Rising Star award is designed for women on the rise, making their mark, even at the early stages of their careers. Ann’s work with Promises2Kids, a San Diego nonprofit providing support to foster youth, as a director of the La Jolla Bar Association, her placement in Penn Athletic’s Hall of Fame Class XI and her commitment to clients contributed to this consideration. Ann focuses her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning, trust litigation, and general civil litigation.

John F. Whittemore, recently earned prestige when he and co-counsel, Kip Williams defeated a Writ Petition (which was then selected for publication). John’s legal and community accomplishments landed him as a finalists for San Diego Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.  John represented BKF at University of San Diego School of Law‘s 38th Annual Careers in the Law, the law school’s largest and most important alumni and student networking event. John works consistently in civil litigation, employment, family law, and trust and estate litigation.

Jordan Ondatje has been named a 2019 Rising Star by IR Global, a world-wide professional service firm network. She is one of a select few who is included in international learning opportunities, networking events, and cross-border work. Jordan contributed effective knowledge sharing in an edition of IR Global Virtual Series, lending commentary regarding one of her primary practice areas, Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund investments, and just returned from the annual IR Global conference in Amsterdam where she joined fellow 2019 Rising Stars from around the globe. Besides Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund, Jordan also focuses her practice on civil litigation, business and employment matters.

Blanchard, Krasner & French is honored to have so many accomplished professionals on our team. We are humbled the surrounding communities acknowledge our team’s talent and commitment to community.
